How our program works!
The Herd Share Buy-in
In order to get raw milk in Colorado, Colorado law requires you to buy into a herd of dairy animals. WiMo offers a herd share buy-in so regardless of if you have a half share, a full share or six shares, everyone is an equal shareholder. Our herd share buy-in is $40. We also have a $10 jar fee.
Monthly Boarding Fees
The other part of any raw milk program in Colorado is the monthly boarding fee. That is the fee you pay each month to board the cows at WiMo Farms. Your boarding fee will be dependent on the amount of milk you get each month. Our monthly boarding cost as of July of 2022 is $35 per half share. We offer any multiple of half shares. A half share is equal to a half gallon of milk each week.
